When Palm Springs Concerts presents the second of its musical offerings this season, lovers of classical music are in for a treat. As a Los Angeles music critic wrote, “Top string quartets pop up everywhere, but first rate piano trios are rare. A concert by the Pacific Trio is a special thrill, as they have demonstrated convincingly wherever they perform.”

The concert by this esteemed group will take place at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday afternoon, January 21, 2024, at the Richards Center for the Arts in Palm Springs.

Each member of the trio has enjoyed a celebrated career on the international music scene, rich in recitals, ensembles, and concert performances. Founded in 1979 in Los Angeles by John Walz and Edith Orloff, this renowned ensemble has played more than 1,000 concerts in the United States, Canada and Europe. In addition to touring, they serve as trio-in-residence at the Idyllwild Arts Summer Program in Southern California.

Featuring an eclectic program of classical masterpieces, the audience will likely hear works by Arensky, Beethoven, Bloch, Brahms, Copeland, Dvorak, Gershwin and others that the artists have mastered.

The January 21st appearance is the second of four concerts offered by Palm Springs Concerts this year.
