The musical generation of tomorrow, in the guise of a young orchestra from the Idyllwild Arts Academy, will perform for Palm Springs Concerts at the Richards Center for the Arts on February 23, 2025.

They will be joined by John Walz's mentoring group, the Pacific Trio, comprised of Walz (cellist), Edith Orloff (pianist) and Roger Wilkie (violinist) in a musical program featuring Beethoven's Triple Concerto and a Beethoven trio as well.  Previous concert goers will recall that the Pacific Trio enthralled audiences last season.

The Academy is a private school located high in the San Jacinto Mountains above Palm Springs. It offers a college preparatory program for high school age youngsters with training in the musical arts and other disciplines.

This will be the third appearance for the Academy musicians in the long history of Palm Springs Concerts. Our old timers still marvel, remembering the inspired past performances.

The Academy welcomes talented students from all over the world, who are united in their passion for artistic excellence. These gifted young artists thrive in Idyllwild’s welcoming and supportive community, under the tutelage of experienced, professional instructors.

With an enrollment of approximately 350, the Academy is rated as the best private high school for the arts in America. Benefiting from small class sizes students sharpen their skills and develop their creative potential.

This is the fourth scheduled performance in Palm Springs Concerts’ 2024-25 Sunday matinée classical series.

Please note: All sales final. No refunds.
